Stromboli is the black pearl of the Aeolian Islands.
The island of Stromboli consist of two towns: Ginostra and Stromboli, as well as an actively erupting volcano. It is possible to see the brilliant red eruption from your yacht at night. Treking excursions are offered from the town of Stromboli. The assistance of a professional guide is mandatory. Ginostra is located on the western coast of Stromboli. There is a small pier, used primarily for ferry docking. Achorage is possible near to the pier. This small town is located up on a cliff and offers spectacular views of the westward Aeolian Islands. There is a small mini market, and a handful of bars and restaurants. Stromboli is located on the eastern coast of Stromboli, and is much larger in size and population than Ginostra. There is a small pier, used primarily for ferry docking, and a few buoys. Achorage is possible in sand offshore of Stromboli. Excursions up to see the volcano (guide required) start from Stromboli. Strombolicchio is located 1,6 km offshore the coast of Stromboli**.
