Etna is a striking backdrop in the port of Riposto.  Several stores are within walking distance from the port. Mt. Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe (3,320 m) and is also one of the most active volcanoes in the world.  The Etna dry red and white wines are produced in the vineyard area around Riposto and Mt. Etna.
