Trapani is located north of Marsala in Sicily, Italy. The beautiful Aegadian Islands are a short sail to the west, and can be explored within a one-week cruise; Trapani has an airport, and an international airport is located in Palermo.

Trapani is an ideal base for a sailing vacation to the Aegadian Islands (known as the "isole egadi" in Italian). Trapani is located on the west coast of Sicily, about 100 km west of Palermo. There are many notable churches and monuments in Trapani.  Sailors may be interested to know that Trapani hosted the Louis Vuitton Cup in September and October 2005.  The port of Trapani is within walking distance of the old town and stores.
